Woman accused of injecting client with fake silicone back in court

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson woman charged with depraved heart murder faces her second court appearance Monday afternoon. Tracey Lynn Garner is expected in Hinds County Court for a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m.

Garner is accused of pumping a deadly amount of illegal silicone into an Atlanta woman's buttocks. Garner allegedly performed the procedure in March inside of her home at 1020 Peyton Ave., in Jackson.

The victim was an Atlanta woman named Karima Gordon. Gordon, who was a military veteran and adult entertainer, drove to Garner's home in March for the body enhancement procedure. According to the Attorney General, Gordon paid $1,500 for the buttocks implants. Gordon became sick after the procedure and died in an Atlanta hospital three days later.

Garner was arrested at her home earlier this month. Some of the items seized from her home included alcohol, a gallon of silicone, super glue, syringes and latex gloves among other items.

Shortly after Garner's arrest, WLBT spoke with Garner's attorney John Colette. At that time, Colette told WLBT he couldn't make any comments on whether or not Garner injected Gordon with the illegal silicone. Garner remains behind bars without bond.
