Mississippi State Fair preparations are underway

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi State Fair is just around the corner.

If you would have passed by the State Fairgrounds Sunday, concession stands could be seen in preparation for one of Mississippi's largest attractions.

State fair signs sway in the breeze on utility poles in the downtown area.

Taffy candy is being made as well and tables and chairs being put up in anticipation of the thousands of residents and travelers soon to venture through the gates of the fairgrounds.

The Mississippi State Fair starts Wednesday October 3rd at 5 p.m. and ends on Oct.14th.
