PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Children from all over South Mississippi filled the Pascagoula Interactive Center Saturday for Mad Scientist Day. It's one of the six Super Saturdays the Pascagoula School District hosts.

The free events are aimed at getting kids out of the house, and away from their television and video games. The school district is striving to show kids that learning goes far beyond the five-day school curriculum.

Here's the schedule for the remaining Super Saturdays:

  • October 20 - Spooky Saturday
  • November 10 - A Salute to America/Happy Birthday Pascagoula
  • February 16 - Wetland Animals
  • March 16 - Wide World of Sports
  • April 20 - Arts Alive!
