Moss Point police searching for shooting suspect

MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Clarence W. Jones III, 19, of Pascagoula after he allegedly shot a 55-year-old man in the leg around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Moss Point Chief Keith Davis.

Davis said, the shooting happened during a home invasion at the 5000 block of Billy Avenue in Moss Point. Police learned of the shooting after a report came in to the Moss Point Police Department.

The victim was transported to Singing River Hospital's Emergency Room in Pascagoula. Davis said the man was released from the hospital after treatment.
