HELENA, MS (WLOX) -

As the Ladnier family looks through water stained photos, it is hard to believe Isaac ruined so many of their memories.

Karen Ladnier lives with her disabled parents in Helena. She says Isaac's heavy rainfall ruined just about everything inside their home.

On Monday, the Ladniers' prayers were answered when the First Presbyterian Church of Pascagoula showed up.

Sandy Wright and her husband, Marvin, were part of the recovery clean-up team getting their hands dirty.

"The government can't get to everybody, and we have to help each other," Sandy said.

"We are ripping sheetrock out, and helping cleaning it out so they can start over," Marvin said.

"This is one thing I love about this storm, we weren't all affected," Sandy said. "So, this time we can actually find the joy and getting out and helping somebody."

Their hard work is very much appreciated.

The Ladnier family hopes more south Mississippians take the time trek to Helena because they say the people in the community definitely need it during this rough time.

"I know a lot of people who were affected and it is no way we can do it on our own," Jason Ladnier said.
