Police: Pascagoula apartment fire was arson, 1 arrested

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

A Pascagoula man is under arrest, charged with arson in Friday's early morning fire at the Lodge Apartments. Police said Donald Keith Moss, 57, resides at the Eden Street apartment complex.

Witnesses told WLOX News the fire started around 1am. When firefighters arrived, they found a second story apartment in flames. Two apartments were burned, and one was destroyed. Luckily, no one was in either apartment when the fire ignited.

Several tenants in neighboring apartments had to leave their rentals because of smoke damage.
