I love the Twitter message Brittney Reese posted shortly after winning the women's long jump. "I am a Olympic GOLD medalist .. WOW !!!" she tweeted to her followers. And this afternoon, she tweeted a picture of her medal! I wonder if Reese's accomplishment will inspire others in south Mississippi to go for the gold. At Gulfport High today, Trang Pham Bui met a track star who's already looking for ways to use Reese to her advantage. Check out the story on WLOX News at 6:00.
And don't forget, the public is invited to Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport on Saturday night to welcome home our gold medal star. Brittney Reese's plane lands at 6:30.
