Pass Christian man guilty of 2009 car wash murder

A Biloxi jury delivered a guilty verdict Wednesday in a 2009 murder case. Michael Ambrose was found guilty of killing Marshal Still, who was found dead inside Snappy's Car Wash on Pass Road.

Ambrose, of Pass Christian, first went to trial in October 2011, and even took the stand admitting he shot and killed Still. But Ambrose was charged with capital murder, and insisted he did not rob the victim. The jury was deadlocked and the judge declared a mistrial.

Harrison County District Attorney Joel Smith told WLOX News his office is glad to "finally give the victim's family the justice they deserve."

Judge Roger Clarke will sentence Michael Ambrose next Thursday at 1:30pm. He faces a mandatory life sentence, but could be eligible for parole when he turns 65.

Another suspect arrested in the case, DeShawn Brown, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and was sentenced to 20 years in jail back in 2011.
