(RNN) – Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. received an early release from a Las Vegas jail on Friday.

The undefeated champion walked out of the Clark County Detention Center at 12:08 a.m., according to KVVU. He served 63 days of an 87-day sentence after a guilty plea to battery domestic violence.

The Associated Press reported 20 family members and friends greeted Mayweather, 35, outside the detention center, including his 12-year-old daughter, Iyanna Mayweather. The fighter, who appeared fit, did not give a statement to reporters, according to the AP.

Rapper 50 Cent showed up in a Bentley sedan and left with Mayweather.

Police arrested the pound-for-pound boxing king in September 2010 for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend during a fight in front of two of their three children. The AP reported his sentence got reduced for work time and good behavior.

A judge denied a motion filed by the Mayweather's attorneys in June, which sought to allow him to serve the rest of his sentence on house arrest. The attorneys stated the fighter suffered from dehydration and declining physical conditions because of his jail stay, and it could affect his career.

The judge ruled his condition was self-inflicted.

Mayweather's jail sentence had been delayed until June 1, so he could fight junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on May 5.

Mayweather won the bout by unanimous decision, but it was one of the more competitive fights of his career. His professional record improved to 43-0.

He has remained one of the few bankable stars in a sport that has lost popularity in the last decade. His fight with Cotto took place in the sold-out MGM Grand Garden arena, and it generated 1.5 million pay-per-view buys.

"Money" Mayweather got a record $32 million for the match. Forbes named him the world's highest paid athlete in 2011.

He does not have another fight scheduled, but favorites for his next opponent include Canelo Alvarez (who fought on the May 5 undercard), Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao.
