    Socks, the dog reportedly burned this week by his owner, has died. That word comes from a George County Sheriff's deputy.  Socks succumbed to injuries suffered after 20-year-old Brandon Pierce allegedly set his dog on fire Tuesday night. The suspect told deputies he torched the dog because he "wanted to help the dog go to heaven."
GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Fifty-six-year-old Frederick Eugene Hamilton Jr. of Citronelle, AL is dead after a one vehicle accident on Beaver Creek Road in George County around 7 Saturday evening, according to the George County Sheriff's Department.

George County Sheriff's Public Information Officer Shonna Pierce said Hamilton was riding a motorcycle when he missed a curve and ended up approximately 325 feet away from the edge of the roadway and in a residential yard.

Pierce said, he was found dead when deputies arrived on the scene and speed is believed to be a factor in his death.

The man's body was taken to George Regional Hospital in Lucedale.

Beaver Creek Road is located one mile off of Highway 98 in George County.
