BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A Biloxi man was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of a weapon after a felony conviction, according to the Biloxi Police Department.
Sgt. Christopher De Back said, an officer spotted two rifles in 51-year-old Michael Wayne Peterson's vehicle while he was parked outside of a store.
During an investigation, De Back said, officials discovered Peterson had been previously convicted of a felony.
According to De back it is illegal for a convicted felon to carry any kind of deadly weapon.
Peterson was booked at the Biloxi Police Department and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. His bond was set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain at $10,000.
