Deputies need help finding hit and run suspect

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara is asking for the public's help finding the driver of a vehicle that struck 24-year-old Melissa Finley of Saucier. The accident happened Saturday around midnight.

Finley reportedly told investigators the last thing she remembered was that she was leaving a friend's house and she was intoxicated, Harrison County Sheriff's Investigator Bill Scarbrough said.

Scarbrough said two good samaritans found Finley lying on the side of Kiln-Delisle Road, near the Marsha Barber Community Center in Pass Christian.

Finley was taken to a Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

Scarbrough said Finley underwent surgery and she could be transferred to USA Medical Center when her condition improves.

Finley was reportedly bleeding and her leg was broken in several places. She also suffered serious injuries to her hip, officials said.

Anyone with information, is asked to contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Office at (228) 865-7060 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-877-787-5898 or click MSCoastCrimestoppers.
