HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - For a short period of time Thursday afternoon, fire teams blocked the entrance to the Lake Villa subdivision off Robinson Road near Gulfport. That precautionary move became necessary after lightning reportedly struck an underground gas line.
According to Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan, flames could be seen shooting up from the ground. Consequently, rescue teams evacuated people in five homes near the fire.
