One fight leads officials to two meth labs

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Jackson County Narcotics officers say they've busted two meth labs.

A call to Hammond Drive about a fight led agents to a house where witnesses said children were inside as the adults were taking drugs.

Agents also found meth making chemicals in plain view inside the house.

Then, there's another twist in the story. Agents were told Gerald Henry Bangs had just walked away from the house and went inside a vacant house next door.

Officials discovered Bangs inside cooking Meth along with chemicals and two active labs.

Bangs is charged with conspiracy to manufacture Meth, manufacturing of a schedule two controlled substance, possession of precursor chemicals and generation of hazardous waste.

As for the other people in the house with the children present, they've all been arrested for various charges related to the busts.

The three children were taking to Singing River Hospital to be checked out. They were then released to the Department of Human Services.
