The Jackson County Sheriff's Department arrested 29-year-old Christopher Lee Sumrall of Biloxi on two counts of Commercial Burglary Saturday shortly before 2 A.M.

Deputies received a call about a suspicious person at Big Joe's Auto, located on the corner of Borries Street and Lemoyne Boulevard in Biloxi.

When deputies arrived, they reportedly found several vehicles at the business broken into and property taken.

Deputies went to Sumrall's home, at the 300 block of Borries Street, where witnesses said they saw him jump out of his window and flee.

Sumrall was later arrested after deputies chased him through a marsh near the area.

He was taken to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. His bond was $25,000.00, for each charge.

If convicted, he could face a fine up to $10,000.00 and up to 7 years in jail.
