MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Fireworks, photos and Fritos. It could have been the start of a really fun Fourth of July party, if they weren't stolen. Instead, several Moss Point residents are under arrest for a series of commercial burglaries.
Kristina Marie Jones, 21, and Joshua Thomas Howard, 27, were arrested Monday night at their home on Wildwood Road. Both are charged with three counts of commercial burglary.
Deputies were led to the home after investigating reports of stolen property at the Frito Lay Distributorship on Highway 63, as well as a nearby fireworks stand. When investigators arrived at the home, they said they found the food and fireworks, as well as car stereos, cameras and other items taken from the Jackson County Roads Building.
A third suspect, Jacob Lamar Davidovich, 18, was also later arrested in connection with the commercial burglaries. He's charged with one count of commercial burglary.
If convicted of commercial burglary, the suspects face up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and a $10,000 fine. Howard was on probation for a burglary conviction in Alabama.
