Three Boaters Survive Incident On Water

A fun day out on the water that took a dangerous turn on Sunday.

Coast Guard leaders say around 1:30 pm, three people were boating a few miles south of Horn Island, when they noticed water was filling their boat.

The driver radioed the Coast Guard for assistance, but before rescue workers could arrive, two nearby boaters stopped to help, towing the boaters safely back to shore.

Officials say a crack in the hull of the boat is being blamed for the mishap.
