Family Of Missing Children Calls On Community For Help

Tim Jones' three children have been missing since Sunday night. His son, 13-year-old Timothy Carter Jones, and two daughters, 11-year-old Felisha Rose Jones and nine-year-old Sierra Monique Jones, disappeared from the home of a babysitter they were staying with on Ingalls Avenue.

Police have had very few leads in the case they say they are treating as a runaway case not an abduction. Police say four witnesses saw the children walking near the railroad tracks near the intersection of Highway 90 and Chicot Street. Other than that there has been very little.

Now the father of the children is asking the community for its help.

"I'm just basically asking for the community to help out and... help find my children," says Tim Jones.

Thursday the Klaas Foundation helped Jones and several friends set up a search center in Singing River Mall in Gautier to give anyone wishing to volunteer a central location to go to.

"Were going to assist the family in getting the pictures out and getting the word out about their missing children, and number two, hopefully create some tip or bit of information that will lead to the recovery of these children," says Brad Dennis Search Director for the Klaas Foundation for Kids.

With the community's help, Tim Jones hopes to continue putting out fliers and conducting ground searches. Jones says any help would be appreciated.

"I'm asking you to think that maybe if these were your children what you would do to help out," said Jones.

Anyone with information regarding the children's whereabouts should call the Pascagoula Police Department at 762-2211.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help in the search call the Jones Kids Search Center at 497-2590.

The search center is located in Singing River Malls East entrance near JC Penny's.
