Autopsy Results Released In Boat Accident

The autopsy of boat racer Randall Linebach revealed he died from blunt injuries to the chest.

In a press conference Saturday evening, coroner Gary Hargrove confirmed Linebach had punctured lungs and fractured ribs as a result of Friday's boat accident.

Linebach was killed while testing his speed boat out on the Mississippi Sound. His throttleman Charlie Haimes was injured, but was treated and released from the hospital.

Whether or not Linebach was wearing safety gear is still under investigation, but Hargrove says both men tested negative for drug and alcohol use.

Sunday's boat races will be dedicated to Randall Linebach.
