Old School Will Fall To Wrecking Ball

Upset Pascagoula residents filled the Pascagoula City Council meeting last night,  making it a standing-room-only. More than 100 people came to voice their opinions about what should be done with the old Pascagoula High School.

Right now, estimates ranging from three million to eight million dollars have been given on how much it would cost to renovated the vacant building. A group called P-H-S 2, and others told the council they want it renovated but most council members had other ideas.

After the two hour debate ended, the Pascagoula City Council did vote tonight to send a recommendation to the Pascagoula School Board to demolish the building.
