A Gulfport man was killed Saturday after being struck by a train. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says 28-year-old Jesse Holland was sleeping early Saturday morning by the rail road tracks near Teagarden Road.
Witnesses say Holland woke up and was then struck by an eastbound AmTrack train.
Holland was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are also investigating a possible drowning in Biloxi.
Coroner Gary Hargrove says the body of 22 year old Demland Septh, of Louisiana, was pulled from a pool at the SeaGull Motel just after 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
Rescue crews attempted CPR before taking Septh to Gulf Coast Medical Center, where he later died.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
