LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary has ruled the Monday morning house fire as arson.

Officials say traces of an ignitable liquid were found in an unoccupied bedroom in the back of the house.

The fire in the 1,000 block of Lambert Lane was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m.

Crews were able to contain the fire to a back bedroom of the home. However, that part of the house was heavily damaged in the blaze.

The family who lives at the residence was home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured. Authorities say the blaze displaced the family of five, who did not have insurance.
