BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - Hancock County investigators believe they nabbed a serial car burglar.
In custody is 18-year-old Adam J. Seebold of Bay St. Louis. He's charged with possession of stolen property and burglary.
According to a Hancock County news release, Seebold is suspected in more than 100 auto burglaries and property crimes in the Gulf Coast area over the past few months.
Investigators tell WLOX News, they first learned about Seebold on Saturday when he allegedly went on a crime-spree which included stealing a car and breaking into more than 30 vehicles in Harrison County and Diamondhead.
Investigators reportedly worked with the Gulfport Police Department to identify Seebold as a potential suspect and questioned him on Sunday March 11.
During questioning, Seebold reportedly told police he took part in more than 50 car burglaries in Hancock County alone.
He was charged with possession of stolen property and burglary and his bond was set at $200,000 by Hancock County Justice Court Judge Desmond Hoda. His also has a hold for potential charges from Gulfport.
Since his arrest, investigators say Seebold has been cooperating with investigators and some of the stolen property has been recovered and will be returned to the victims.
The investigation is still ongoing and more charges may follow.
