Seminary students meet drug dog they bought by selling nachos

Posted: Updated:

Students at Seminary Attendance Center met a furry new friend Friday they hope will help prevent drug use at their school.

"Sammy," a four-year-old Labrador Retriever, was introduced to students from the high school's SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and Technology clubs.

He'll be used by the Covington County Sheriff's Dept. for narcotics detection.

Last December, the two clubs sold $1,500 worth of nachos to fellow students to buy the dog.
