Lott Wins Big In South Mississippi

John Kerry won big in Mississippi's presidential primary. That adds 33 delegates to his total for the Democratic nomination. Kerry took in about 75-percent of the democratic vote in Mississippi. He also swept the primaries in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Here in South Mississippi, state representative Mike Lott beat out two other men for the 4th district republican nomination for Congress.

That means Lott will face Democratic incumbent, Gene Taylor in the November 2nd general election.

Three candidates sought the 2nd district GOP congressional nomination. Clinton LeSueur is the winner there. He will face Democratic incumbent Bennie Thompson.
