BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Some pint-sized partiers hit the streets of Downtown Biloxi Monday for the annual Children's Mardi Gras Walking Parade.

More than 400 kids paraded in costumes and their decorated bikes, skateboards, scooters and wagons.

This years theme is "Off to the Races." Trophies and cash prizes were awarded for best costumes and best float.

The parade King is Joshua King, and Janiyah Merrill reigned as Queen.

"The good thing is that I don't have to walk all day, and I can sit all day and throw beads," King Joshua said.

Queen Janiyah said it was all about, "Having fun, throwing beads, throwing cups and throwing footballs."

This was the 14th year for the children's parade in Biloxi.
