Church's Adopt-A-Cop Program Helping Police

The Worship Center Church in Pascagoula didn't have their usual Sunday service. The church's Pastor says the goal is to eventually adopt all of the police forces in Jackson County, offering them prayers and support for all the hard work they do.

"The Worship Center hasn't just honored us on this one day. They constantly come by the police department to just share time with us, and that is very good, especially when we're trying to reconcile our community, it makes a big impact on our department," said Moss Point Police Chief Michael Ricks.

A few months ago, the church members adopted the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. Now they're challenge is to adopt the Moss Point Police Department, which has almost 30 full-time police employees.
