PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -
A unique group of entertainers are bringing their international tour to Pascagoula.
More than two dozen children from Uganda make up the African Children's Choir, visiting First Baptist Church in Pascagoula this week.
Supported by the Music for Life Institute, the choir travels the world, acting as the ambassador for Africa's most vulnerable children.
Music for Life Institute works to ensure children in the choir and thousands of others in Africa, receive love, care, and a quality education that will change their lives.
With programs in Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Rwanda, and supporting programs in Southern Sudan, Music for Life is "helping Africa's most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow."
Their choir commitment will provide each choir member a guaranteed university education and show that despite the desolate circumstances they come from, they have beauty, dignity, hope and unlimited potential.
Their performance is Tuesday night at 6:30 at First Baptist Church in Pascagoula.
And their story is the subject of this weeks Page 13 airing Friday at 5 and 10pm.
