BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -
As Mardi Gras season kicks into high gear, there are concerns about the weather. WLOX Meteorologist Carrie Duncan is watching a line of thunderstorms in central Louisiana heading east toward South Mississippi.
"The line appears to be losing some intensity which would ultimately be good news for us. Plus, it looks to be moving fairly slow. Right now, it seems that the parades may escape the rain today."
There are three parades Saturday and one in Lizana on Sunday. For a full parade schedule, click HERE.
"Now, there may be a few pop up showers and/or thunderstorms ahead of the front that is heading this way. It looks like we will see most of the rain and thunderstorm activity coming in the late afternoon, evening and overnight hours."
You can watch the forecast on WLOX News Weekend at 5:30 and 10.
