BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -
This summer, families will have a new reason to visit Bay St. Louis. Workers just finished construction of a new splash pad at the intersection of Dunbar and Ulman Avenues.
The splash pad is the latest amenity added to the $190,000 park at the old McDonald ball field. It features a number of decorative water sprinklers and benches to take a break from the water activity.
"This is just one amenity of many more to come," said Regan Kane, Chairman Bay St. Louis Parks & Recreation Commission. "Next week, we have our playground equipment being delivered and going to be installed. Our next phase to come out of the ground is a restroom facility."
Construction on the restrooms should start in late February. A stage will be added to the new park in the final phase of the project.
