GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport father and son were both arrested Thursday after dad was spotted walking down Texas Avenue with what investigators called "suspicious items."

Gulfport Police officers first made contact with Mark Rogers, Sr, 51, who led them to a home near the intersection of Texas Avenue and 30th Street. Police said that's where the items were stolen from.

As a result of the investigation, both Rogers and his son, Mark Rogers, Jr, 23, were arrested and charged with burglary. They were taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and each given a bond of $30,000.
