    According to the Stone County coroner, a combination of excessive speed and alcohol are the underlying causes of a wreck that killed 19-year-old Grant Lowery Hickman of Perkinston.  Hickman reportedly spent Friday night with friends at the Gulfport Music Festival.  And they told authorities alcohol was consumed.  The coroner said Hickman's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

More than a year after a Harrison County man was lured from his home and killed, investigators are still making arrests in the case. Three men were arrested Tuesday and charged with kidnapping. They are:

  • Mitchell Burnell Valentine, 31, of Grand Bay, Alabama
  • Walter Thomas "T-Bone" Burrus, 42, of Saucier
  • Wendell Perry Eaves, 41, of Gautier

Eaves was actually arrested at Ingalls Shipyard, where he works. The others were arrested at home. All three were being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, and had court appearances scheduled Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, the victim in the case was lured to a home in Gautier on December 2, 2010. Once there, he was beaten, bound and put in the trunk of a car. Investigators believe he was eventually killed in Forrest County.

It wasn't until November 19, 2011, almost a year later, that Eric Glenn Parker was arrested and charged with murder. Investigators said more arrests could still be coming in the case.
