MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Several days after a video went viral online showing an Alabama fan apparently sexually assaulting another, incapacitated LSU fan, the New Orleans Police Department is getting involved.

The NOLA Sex Crimes Unit issued a notice seeking a 'Person of Interest relative to a Sexual Battery' Wednesday afternoon.

The notice included three screenshots of the offender which edited/cropped out portions that show the man apparently rubbing his genitals on the incapacitated LSU fan's face and body.

The incident is said to have happened at a Krystals restaurant in New Orleans immediately after the BCS National Championship game on January 9, 2012.

The man is described as 5'7 to 5'11" in height, medium build, with unshaven facial hair and wearing a University of Alabama jacket and white shirt.

NOLA investigators said they were made aware of the video and determined that it was evidence in a sexual assault.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the NOLA Special Victims Unit at 504-658-5523 or anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.
