Coast Pastor Condemns Gay Marriage

"A cry for the institution of holy matrimony," was the topic of 14 hours of prayer and preaching Tuesday, at the Covenant of Peace church in Orange Grove.

Blair Bradley has been the pastor at the church for three years. He left his career as a financial consultant because he felt God calling him to the ministry. He says God is telling him, and the rest of the Christian world, to speak out against gay marriage.

''When the definition the Bible has of marriage is destroyed, nothing will stop anybody from doing anything. Will it be acceptable for three women and a cow to have sex? What about two men and a little boy?" the pastor asked his congregation.

From 5:30 in the morning until 9:30 in the evening, Bradley and others preached and prayed that the sanctity of marriage needs to be restored. The pastor claims the institution of marriage is under attack like never before, and he worries about what he sees in the world around him.

"Major network television is now prominently displaying homosexual behavior as cute, nice, acceptable. I like chocolate ice cream, you like vanilla, there is really no difference, is what network tv would have us believe."

Pastor Bradley says gays have worshiped at his church. He preaches that you hate the sin, but love the sinner. He points that out to those who say he preaches a message of intolerance.

"Most of those who would say that have never helped a homosexual. I have. I will help one today. It is not hate, it is truth."

Bradley says the critics won't stop him from preaching against the gay lifestyle, but he worries we have only seen the beginning of states legalizing same sex marriages.
