SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

A Gulfport woman is on a mission this Christmas, one she hopes will make another family very happy.

Diane Cowden found a family photo album in a trash can at Classy Chassy Car Wash in Biloxi back in February of 2006.

Cowden said, "It was right on top, so it just looked like something I could not just leave on the dumpster, I just couldn't do it."

Flipping through the pages she says, "He probably looks like he is a deer hunter he has that look doesn't he."

"They are great pictures and it looks like a real loving family too, they adored that baby, it's obvious. He is so cute."

Since she found the album, she has been on a mission to find the owners.

"I called all the hospitals I'd take these and show the pediatric nurse, I put ads in the Sun Herald and showed them to people and other than that this is my last resort," Cowden said.

"I'm just hoping this will reach a person that knows them or maybe the family will be watching and then they can come down here and get their beloved baby's pictures back," Cowden said.

She says especially because so many pictures lost around that time can not be returned.

"I lost a lot of pictures too during Katrina and I, I know they want these pictures back it is showing the baby from birth to 1 year old it's his life story his first year. I'd love to see the look on their faces when they see these," Cowden said.

And she hopes once they get the album back they can fill up the remaining pages.

We have done some investigative work here at the station and so far we have found out from the pictures, the baby was born at Biloxi Regional Hospital on April 20th of 2005, the couple was married and the mom played softball.

If you know the owner, have them call us at WLOX and we will be happy to give them their album back.
