PICAYUNE, MS (WLOX) -

Picayune police have arrested 27-year-old Quincy Jones, of Picayune after a double homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Police reportedly found two individuals dead from apparent gunshot wounds at a home on Maxwell Street in Picayune.

Officials said the victims are 32-year-old Michael Burnett and 18-year-old Shaquille Bagley. A third victim, Reginald Smith, was airlifted to Forrest General Hospital for surgery. Smith's condition is unknown at this time.

Authorities said Jones is responsible for the death of Bagley.

However, police said Bagley was responsible for shooting the two other victims. Had Bagley survived, police said he would have been charged as well.

Police believe this shooting occurred as a sort of revenge for another altercation that happened among the group earlier in the week.

Jones has been charged with one count of murder and one count of discharging a weapon. Police said at least six people were involved in the shooting and more charges could be coming.

If you have any information, call Picayune Police Department at (601) 798-7411.
