OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

An Ocean Springs man and his girlfriend have been arrested and charged with stealing two large sauce pots from The Shed BBQ restaurant.

Ocean Springs Police say Nicholas Russell Duvernay, 35, and Kimberly Ann Boynton, 46, are each charged with one count of grand larceny.

Last Thursday, employees at the Saucery reported the pots stolen. Both were valued at $8000. Tips from the public led investigators to a scrap metal recycler in Gulfport where the pots were recovered. Police said the pots were damaged to the extent that they could not be salvaged, however, they were returned to the owner.

Police began searching for the man they believe sold the pots to the scrap yard: Nicholas Duvernay. They finally caught up with him on Sunday, and arrested both him and his girlfriend.

Tuesday, bond was set at $10,000 for both suspects.

Police are still asking that anyone with information about the crime call the Ocean Springs Police Department at (228) 875-2211.
