These are the sounds of the holidays at the Lundays unit of the Boys and Girls Clubs in Biloxi.
In what was once an empty field, the children now have their choice of either climbing walls, playing a tune, or sliding.
"On behalf of the Rotary Club of Biloxi and all its members we would like to present this check for 30-thousand dollars that covers the total cost of our playground here and its installation. Congratulations," said Rotary Club of Biloxi president Len Giacome.
"I think it's really good that they did it. You know it's a park over there. We had to walk all the way over there. But now we get to walk here in the back instead of being of being all tired and stuff like that we can just go back and go back inside," said club member Zada McClendon.
"Kids need to let off steam, especially when they get out of school everyday, they need a place to go, and have a lot of fun. We have a lot of activities here, we make them work on their homework but they also have to have fun," said Boys & Girls Club executive director Sue Reed.
And thanks to the Biloxi Rotary Club, fun times are waiting for everyone who passes through doors of this Boys and Girls Club.
"It's just a great feeling to watch these kids so excited, and thoroughly enjoying this facility. It really is heartwarming," said Giacome.
The playground is filled with kid-safe wood carpet and is handicapped accessible.
The unit is still looking for supporters to install a new walkway, picnic tables, and landscaping.
