IP reopens as part of Boyd Gaming

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi is now open under new management. Boyd Gaming officially took over the property at midnight.

The Mississippi Gaming Commission ordered the doors shut at midnight so an audit could take place before the property officially changed hands.

Boyd Gaming of Las Vegas struck a deal back in June to buy the IP for $278 million. This is the final stage of the transition. One of the biggest changes will be in the executive office. Jon Lucas is no longer the property's General Manager. He's been replaced by Jack Bernsmeier.
