JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County deputies have now made four arrests connected to a shooting and armed robbery at an Ocean Springs area hotel.

A 911 call on Wednesday, September 14 led deputies to the Comfort Inn Suits on Big Ridge Road. One person had been shot in the leg. The victim identified one of the suspects as a former friend. Video surveillance and witness accounts helped investigators learn the incident was drug related.

A week later, deputies arrested Bobby Jawune Hands on one count of Armed Robbery.

Then on September 23, investigators with the Jackson County Criminal Investigation Division arrested three Gulfport teens: Brandon James Hairston, 17, Nigel Rayshon Quinn, 17, and Robert Bruce Smith, 19. All are charged with one count of Armed Robbery.

Brandon James Hairston was also charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.

Authorities said Hands was out on felony bond on a charge of Drive by Shooting at the time of his arrest, and Smith was out on felony bond for a charge of Armed Robbery at the time of his arrest.

Hands was given a $30,000 bond in County Court by Judge Larry Wilson. Quinn, Hairston, and Smith are all currently at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance in County Court.
