No arrests in Gulfport triple murder

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A triple murder in Gulfport has police chasing leads and asking for the public's help.

It was August 30th when police discovered three bodies in a Mississippi cottage at the Poolside Mobile Home Village. The coroner said all three victims were shot to death. With no arrests and few persons of interest, police want help to solve this case.

Captain Ken Brown said, "We really want to solve this case to give the victims and their families the justice they deserve. We will work every day and we will follow every lead until we can determine who was responsible for this terrible tragedy."

Captain Ken Brown is one of many Gulfport police officers and investigators trying to solve the murders of 48-year-old Gloria Morgan, her son, 28-year-old Clarence Payton and 63-year-old Charles Durr. He also said that at first, they did have a few good leads.

"Although some of those leads did not yield any answers, a lot of those leads have developed into new leads and additional information."
