GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A woman and her three children are homeless tonight after the trailer they were renting burned down at Varnado Trailer Park located at 2036 East Pass Road.
According to Gulfport Fire Department's Deputy Chief Billy Bragg, the fire happened shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
Gulfport Fire Chief Lonnie Necaise said, it took 14 fire fighters to put out the fire that had already fully engulfed the trailer when they arrived. Luckily, the renter was next door at a neighbors trailer when the fire started and the charred trailer was unoccupied at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance to the family of four. Bragg said the fire did not pose a threat to any other trailers in the mobile home park.
No word yet on what caused the fire. Traffic on Pass Road is back to normal.
