Stone County family stung by Lee's fury

STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A Stone County family had the scare of a lifetime on Sunday night.  Its home got torn apart by the fury of what was Tropical Storm Lee.

Stone County emergency management leaders believe a tornado whipped across the area.  It blasted a hole through a manufactured home near Perkinston.  The winds smashed windows, and toppled trees.

A husband and wife were inside the home when it got hit.  They escaped, with the man sustaining cuts to his hand.

WLOX News reporter Jessica Bowman is in Stone County this morning.  She's checking on the damage west of Highway 49, plus any other reports of storm damage around the county.  Look for her storm updates on, and later today on WLOX News.
