The National Weather Service reported that Tropical Storm Lee has downgraded to a Tropical Depression.
South Mississippi will continue to experience heavy rain through Monday. Residents will continue to see the flood threat build as rain adds to the already swollen rivers.
A flash flood watch is in effect for South Mississippi through Monday, September 5, 2011.
As of the 9:47 p.m. advisory from the National Weather Service, Lee is at 31.0N 91.8W. The depression has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph.
The current movement of the tropical storm is to the east northeast at seven miles per hour. And its barometric pressure is 29.23".
Forecasters believe up to 20 inches total accumulation of rain will fall through Monday night.
Officials continue to urge citizens to stay off the roadways due to the current weather conditions.
