Tropical system expected to drench the coast

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Here's the latest information from the National Hurricane Center on Tropical Depression 13.  According to the 7:00 a.m. update, the center of this system is in the Gulf of Mexico at 27.0N 91.6W.  The sustained winds are at 13 miles per hour.  And it continues to move to the northwest now at just one mile per hour.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for coastal Mississippi.  That warning extends from Pascagoula to Sabine Pass, Texas.

WLOX.com has learned Harrison County is offering self serve sandbags at the following locations.  Lorraine Road Work Center, Long Beach Work Center and at the Pass Christian city barn on Espy Avenue.  Hancock County and Jackson County leaders will meet on Friday morning and determine whether they'll offer sandbags.
