BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - WLOX meteorologists are keeping a close eye on the Gulf of Mexico. There's a low pressure system over the gulf that forecasters say could become a tropical depression by the weekend. However, it's too soon to tell exactly how it will affect Gulf Coast residents and businesses.
For now a coastal flood watch is posted for south Mississippi. This system will likely bring higher than normal tides and high winds along the coast.
Right now, almost all of the spaghetti models show this system moving toward western Louisiana and Texas. However, that track could change. So, you need to monitor our WLOX 24/7 weather team, and WLOX.com to get the latest storm information.
