The Greensboro Generals connected on 4 of 7 power-play chances and that was the difference in Thursday's ECHL clash.
Matt Turek netted the games first goal at 8:58 of the first period giving the Generals a 1-0 lead. Louis Dumont scored his 8th goal of the season at 10:22 of the period tying the game 1-all.
Greensboro connected on the power-play for the second time at 15:34 of the second period. Jim Baxter knotted up the hockey game 2-2 for the Mississippi Sea Wolves at 19:25 of the period, his 5th of the season.
Jim Baxter scored his second power-play goal at 1:28 of the third period on an assist from Brent Gauvreau giving the Sea Wolves a 3-2 advantage.
The Generals charged back behind the play of Kurtis Drummond. His 5th goal of the season tied the game at 4:45 of the third period.
About ten minutes later Sam Ftorek ripped home the winning goal shooting the puck past Greg Gardner giving the Generals a 4-3 victory. All four goals were scored on the power-play.
Daniel Berthiaume stopped 30 of 33 shots on goal, while Gardner halted 31 of 35 shots.
The Sea Wolves return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 4:05 Sunday afternoon hosting the Texas Wildcatters.
