KILN, MS (WLOX) - On Wednesday afternoon, parts of South Mississippi were under a tornado warning. A law enforcement officer in Hancock County spotted a tornado near the Kiln.
WLOX Meteorologists were covering the storm as it moved across Hancock County.
From most reports, there were some trees uprooted, but there didn't seem to be any major damage.
WLOX viewer Chris Ory went to the spot where there were reports of a tornado touching down.
"These pics were taken at Sand Hill Cemetery on Standard Cemetery Road in Kiln, MS. I didn't see any damage to the graves, only the fence and looks like one statue was blown over," Ory said.
There were about 1,400 Singing River Electric Power customers who were left without power.
