BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - Coach Jeff Hopgood is feeling good and why not, his Tigers used offense, defense and special teams to upend the Yellow Jackets.

That defense held St. Martin to only 49 yards of total offense.

Hopgood said, "Our linebackers well and our defensive line did a good job dominating the line of scrimmage and they tackled well and swarmed to the ball like we teach."

Coty Mitchell a 6-2, 170 pound linebacker says the defense was well prepared and he loves going after the football.

Mitchell said' "If I see the football, I want to get to the football and I will go to the football as fast as I can."@

Phalen Booker battles in the trenches both offensively and defensively and displayed his agility in the second quarter when he recovered a fumble inside the 10 to keep a Tigers offensive drive alive.

160 pound junior running back Justus Lett, didn't let up when he touched the football. On 10 carries he piled up 124 yards and scored two touchdowns, including a 63-yard gallop in the first quarter.

Lett exploded through the line, made some nice cuts and always picked up positive yardage.

"I knew I just knew I had to follow my blocks and I had trust in them that they would get the job done and I just ran and followed all of them."@

150 pound senior wide receiver Clifton White also had an exceptional night. He ripped off a 51-yard rushing touchdown and opened the second half with a 90 yard kickoff return.

Junior quarterback Donovan Davis adds more firepower to Bay High's offensive attack . He is highly capable of tossing the ball down field.

The Tigers entertain Lumberton 7:30 Friday night in the Bay.
