Biloxi man dies from heat stroke

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A man was found in a ditch Saturday evening at around 6 p.m. after he went missing early that morning. An autopsy done on Sunday indicated that the 57-year-old Biloxi man died of a heat stroke.

According to the Harrison County Coroner's Office, a family friend, helping in the search, found Michael Raymond Davis in a ditch off of Jim Byrd Road just south of Road 529.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said Davis took regular morning walks.

Yesterday's high was 91 degrees Fahrenheit with a heat index of 101 degrees Fahrenheit.
